For a year and a half, this has been my go-to kitchen knife for slicing carrots, celery, cucumbers, onions, tomatoes, potatoes. It’s also good for trimming meat, slicing avocado, oranges. It’s a little too long for pairing fruit. I use this knife one to three times every day. Handle and rivets are holding up well so far. We’ll see how the wood holds up in ten years. Excellent ergonomics! Nice balance, and the indent for the index finger is nicely protective! Well manufactured. Blade extremely sharp out of the box. Seems to take a honing well. This is a winner. Would have been nice to have a broken-back clip point, mainly to present more convex cutting surface near the point, but didn’t find that design anywhere.
Purchased to replace an MIA Henckels Professional S paring knife about two weeks ago. So far I absolutely love it. Great weight and balance, nice size, good feel in the hand, and very sharp right out of the box. The full tang construction is excellent, very smooth and well made. I've used a slew of knives both in home and professionally and this is an inexpensive and impressive knife that I definitely recommend.
Great blade…tarnished on arrival… working to clear it up.. taking time… shouldn’t have to do this.
This is a hefty, handsome paring knife. It fits my hand well and it is sharp enough to easily remove the skin from fresh ginger. The strong blade looks as though it would sharpen easily. The really nice gift box in which it arrived was a plus.
This is a great petty/paring knife. The handle is relatively heavy compared to the blade which is ideal for the type of work you do with this knife. The blade feels nimble and quick in the hand. I’m very, very picky about my knives and I own several top-of-the-line Japanese and German knives. While I prefer Japanese-style chefs knives (over 8”) because they are thin and lightweight, I definitely like a heavier handle for a paring knife because it keeps the blade naturally pointed upward. Imagine peeling potatoes, turning carrots, rutabagas, etc. It is still feels light in hand because of its small size. The price is right too. I really love this knife!
This knife is very well built. It is easy to hold and has a solid feel. Be carefull when you are using it because it is extremely sharp. I have used it to cut vegtables, meat and poultry and it cuts through everythng with ease. I recommend this knife for everyday use.
Great knife! I like it so much!
Love the sharpness of this paring knife. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was that the handle, while beautiful wood grain, isn’t finished properly. Afraid it won’t hold up to multiple washings.
Feels good. Looks and feels like it's going to last a long time.
This knife is well-made and cuts like a cool breeze. And it is a pleasure to hold and use as I did today for a community pot of soup with more than 50 pounds of vegetables. No fatigue; could have easily done another 50 pounds!
