  I am very impressed with the overall quality of this MasterChef Knife Block Set of 6 Kitchen Knives.Right out of the box, this “Vivid” set is really gorgeous to see; each color seriously pops and adds some fun to any countertop or kitchen.The non-stick, stainless steel blades are super sharp, easily slicing & dicing throughout any task.The smooth-grip, ergonomic handles fit so well in my small hand, making each knife extremely comfortable for me to hold on to.The top of the universal knife block is designed with a soft & flexible “spaghetti” structure, which allows you to place the knives into any of its space; safely & securely protecting each blade.A truly fabulous knife block set, with a phenomenal price…Most definitely recommend!!🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

  Hate cooking? Then this is for you! This great set of 6 exquisitely sharp kitchen knives of varying shapes & sizes is perfect for those who hate working in the kitchen because these babies'll slice, dice, excise, bisect, trisect, dissect, etc., pretty much anything that doesn't move around [much], and do it quickly and with ease, so you can go back to whatever it was you were working on before hunger (or your spouse) hit you.Since microwave ovens became affordable in the 1980s they've become ubiquitously popular, especially with those who just want to "nuke" something quick & consume it so they're no longer hungry, then get on with their life. One unfortunate delay, however, is that some stuff still has to be cut up - not everything is as handy as sliced bread. That's where these kitchen knives come into play: each of the 6 knives is very, very sharp (good for speedy cutting), and has a distinctive black-finished blade (good for reducing the noticeability of minor self-inflicted clumsiness).There are no steak knives in this set, however. Those who say something like "real men don't use steak knives - that's what teeth are for' may consider the lack of steak knives irrelevant, but I'm not one of 'em. This does significantly reduce the cost of this knife set, though, and you still have a use for the pearl-handled set stored away in a drawer somewhere (oh, excuse me, I meant to say ivory-handled but that's considered pachyderm hate speech nowadays).Included is a simple, stylish, rectangular black metal knife holder, which you fill with what looks like black plastic, uncooked spaghetti. This is a neat material for storing knives because each knife can be inserted into the vertical straw-like material anywhere you want. Knives don't need to be carefully aligned to a matching correctly-sized slot before they can be inserted into the knife holder since there are no slots in this material. This is a very clever little time saver & stress reducer (it slightly hastens the time when you can leave the kitchen).Don't know yet if these new knives will wear well & stay sharp - only time and usage will tell this. At the current price of $24.32, this knife set is a really good deal. Also, it will make a great gift for anyone who enjoys working in the kitchen, and an absolutely fantastic gift for those who don't! 5 stars

  I really didn't have high expectations for this set because they're so inexpensive but boy was I wrong.First off, the matte black set looks super sleek and modern. The set of six knives pretty much covers all the essential needs in the kitchen and each knife serves its purpose well - the chef knife and the santoku knife will obviously get the most use. The soft touch handles feel really smooth and the ergonomic curves make the knives really comfortable to use. Compared to my previous santoku knife with a plastic handle, the MasterChef one feels ten times better in the hand.As I stated in the title, the knives are really, really sharp. I accidentally lightly poked my finger while doing some prep and my finger started to bleed - and I must emphasize that it was a very lightly poke. I'm not sure at this point how long the sharp edge will last before having to sharpen but it's impressively sharp.The one thing that caught me off guard was the block. I'm sure everyone is familiar with the regular solid block that has slots for each knife, which is what I expected...but this one is not that. The block is just a light hollow plastic box that's filled in with what I can only describe as "plastic hay". There are no dedicated slots but instead you just stick any knife anywhere and the "hay" holds it in place anywhere there is space. I didn't like it at first, but it's starting to grow on me.I wish some steak knives were included for an additional cost but if you don't need those this is a fantastic set for anyone looking to do some home cooking.

  These knives are great. I really needed some new ones since the ones we had are really old and have dulled and been resharpened so many times they are not really good anymore. I love that this set comes with quite a few different knives, I have used a few of them now and they cut great. I havent had any issues so far. They are a little on thin side, I would think that chefs knife would be a little thicker but they are good. They are nice and sharp and the block that comes with them holds them all pretty well. The knives are a little on the shorter side as well but they work fine. The block contains plastic sticks that allow you put the knifes in any place in the block, so there is no designated section, which can be helpful when you just need to put the knife away. The hands are a good size, I have had problems in the past where they are undersized and I feel like I am trying to use a large knife with a tiny handle, not very well balanced at all. These seem to be pretty good in that regard. I would say, that overall they are a decent set of knives.

  The media could not be loaded. The knives are great quality and I love the black finish. They look great.Unfortunately, it's the block that ruins the set for me. It's not your standard block with slots for each blade but rather is full of long bristles so that you can put the knives wherever you want inside the block. Imagine someone cut a bunch of broom bristles, all the same length, and shoved them into a box. That's how you secure the blades. Needless to say, this doesn't look or feel nearly as nice and unfortunately ruins the set for me.

  These knives are really nice. They have a nice weight to them and they're sharp. The 3 larger knives come with a hard plastic tip protector so they're not damaged in shipping. I appreciate the assortment of knives that are chosen for this set and find them all useful. I did not know the meaning of the "spaghetti structure" and was excited to receive this and see for myself. Instead of separate distinct slots for each knife, they fit anywhere in the block, so you can arrange them to your liking. In addition, this set is replacing a knife set that I've had for many years, but there's a couple of dinner knives that I want to keep, and these fit in here as well. I love the pop of color this brings to my countertop, and the colors also help me to immediately identify which knife is which.

  As other reviewers have mentioned this set comes with a very unique and non standard style of knife block. It is comprised of essentially a set of bristles tightly encapsulated in a block vice the standard slot carved into a block of wood. This allows for one to put the knives' blades in pretty much any orientation. The OCD afflicted among the populous might decry this but it does make the block more universal and functional if not always symmetrical.The knives themselves have a nice comfortable handle and the edge is good and sharp. These are a great value at the price point offered and a good addition to anyone's kitchen.

  This is a uniquely attractive and stylish set of kitchen knives. The entire set has an upscale look with its beautifully designed black coated blades and matching matte black handles. A joy to use, the handles are molded in a nice grippy feeling silicone composite material in an ergonomic shape that inspires confidence. I also appreciate the minimal and unpretentious design of the 'spaghetti style' holder that allows the set of six knives to be placed in the holder randomly, eliminating the usual slotted design of most knife blocks.One small complaint keeps me from giving the Master Chef knives a five star rating. The sharpness of the two smaller knives, the peel and dice knives, is noticeably less sharp than the rest of the set. They're both definitely usable but should match the sharpness level as the others.
